How is this any different than normal? The problem resides in the people in the last zone lining up 20 minutes ahead of time, and wondering why 100 people are boarding before them. The problem is people, not the process. You can’t fix stupid.

Here's a thought, board the plane from the back to the front!

So, Southwest process works after all. Line up!
-
Except it doesn’t. Southwest is the worst for families with kids under 10. Almost every flight there is a request to move people around so the family can somewhat be together. Choosing your seat ahead of time eliminates “decisions” on the plan. Decisions take time. Time=money.
-
I have never had a problem with them. Children under a certain age get on before the majority of the flyers, you get to chose your seat and save some for other family members, no one complains. People will move to help keep families together.

Ok so my wife and I have done a lot of traveling so we would like to throw something at you, board first class first, then heh why not start boarding back to front of the plane, just throwing it out there, wouldn’t that be way quicker instead of standing in the isles waiting

I don’t see how this is so terribly different than their present boarding practice. I rarely saw them use the multi-lanes
