The remake by the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn is incredible.

The whole album of electric ladyland.

Speaking of a youthful indiscretion, I wanted this LP so badly I was arrested at the age of about 14 trying to shoplift it out of a department store. Scared me straight for life. And eventually bought it. It was mainly about Watchtower, but the whole LP was great.pic.twitter.com/XxXjk79QX5

Hey Joe
-
That's a good one. I gotta go with Voodoo Chile. That freaking guitar hook is something.
-
I only wish I was old enough to have heard him live..but his music is timeless.
-
Hell yeah. I wasn't old enough to appreciate his stuff when he died, but I remember my dad being super bummed.
-
So much amazing music from that era..I love This is the End from the Doors too..
-
I'd forgotten that one! I listen to new music too, but most of doesn't have the same feel as older rock. Try Uriah Heep sometime. Stealin', Easy Living, and Sweet Lorraine are 3 that come to mind. Great stuff.
-
I will definitely check it out, I was a teenager in the 80’s so that music is nostalgic to me. But 70’s music seems like real music.
-
Oh yeah. Heep's biggest hit was Stealin'. In '72.

The only possible answer.
-
The only possible answer to a best Jimi Hendrix song is a Bob Dylan song?
-
Half the songs he did were covers.
-
hardly half, plus saying that undermines what a talented songwriter he was, as well as one of the best guitar players, magical singer and absolute singular talent
