Ordering a Nacho Bell Grande,Gordita etc....is the same in english and spanish? I don't speak spanish but I know what people are ordering when they say Nacho Bell Grande.
-
How did the employee pass training if she was unable to take an order? I doubt this lady is the only english speaking customer, right? Story is a bit fishy. Likely not employee's fault but the owner/manager's.

The manager should be fired for having her take orders when she can’t speak English
-
Most jobs require that you speak and read English. For just such an occasion

Not in Hialeah lol

That’s exactly how it is in Hialeah. They look at you like you have 3 heads if you’re speaking English trying to get service. Billboard signs are in Spanish too.

Irony! Imagine how an English speaking person felt being discriminated against? Hmmm!
-
Yeah, no problem with an entire restaurant of workers not being able to speak the language of the land.
-
The language of the land was the Native American language, and by the way, there is not any law that states that English is the official language of the US, unlike other countries there is not any mention on that in the constitution, now guess why.
-
What is "the Native American language"? Not writing it in the Constitution doesn't change the fact that it is the lingua franca. But if this incident showed us anything, it's that everyone should just know all languages, instead of picking a common one.

-
I think platitudes about multiculturalism definitely outweigh people being discriminated against in their own hometown for speaking their language though. The good feelsies are palpable.
