In case no one remembers 2009, Serena, after being called on a foot fault by a lineswoman, threatened violence against her for which she was penalized, fined, and lost several endorsements due to it being unprecedented. Thus, she’s on thinner ice than most male or female players.pic.twitter.com/gPdlidoKR2

Are you kidding me? The rules are pretty clear and she violated them. This has nothing to do with her race or sex but her bad behavior. She should be embarrassed!

Could you please just concentrate Naomi’s biggest achievement? Serena was losing. If you watch the match, she was outplayed by Naomi. Serena’s behavior was out of line. Let’s celebrate Naomi’s first US Open win.

This is total BS! Tennis won....ticket sales for the final....sold out. Serena lost her cool and the match.....that’s it. If she had won nobody would be making any stupid comments about a double standard in tennis. Pro tennis is about one thing...winning...rest is noise!

You guys are ridiculous! No it is not. She lost and is using a cop-out, because she was OUT PLAYED. Absolutely ridiculous you all would write this narrative. Of course though, because this is the time we live in. If you lose it has to be because of some social justice issue LOL

Omg. Serena ruined Osaka’s rather significant accomplishment because of bad sportsmanship.
