Hard to protect endangered birds in the wild. The bird continues to exist in captivity, it could yet be saved.

Lol not even just birds but multiple other species of animals as well. There is a chance that any of the birds left in captivity can and probably will be used for the reintroduction of the species into the wild

It’s much easier to do it with birds/amphibians/reptiles, but you’re right it’s not just birds.

Really the hardest part for any species imo is the reintroduction of the species. It’s hard to recreate natural expierences in places like zoos
