Not fair and not good economic sense. Anything to avoid addressing his taxes, Jane’s FBI investigation and Manafort Devine Ukraine and Russian ties. Out of touch.

We are paying for the public assistance, through our taxes, for the employees of Amazon, Walmart, and other companies who don’t pay a living wage. They should either pay a living wage, or be taxed the equivalent of what their employees receive in public assistance.

Wouldn't it be correct to say all companies that don't pay a living wage? Never mind. It's just semantics at this point. I actually just hopped on here to say that I make a living wage; like many of my coworkers. I need no state assistance to maintain my livelihood.

I did qualify it by saying ”...and other companies...”. No one who works a 40 hour work week, or more, should have to rely on public assistance. The cost of food, rent, and gas are outpacing wages. We pay their employees’ welfare *and* purchase items from them. That’s not fair.

Yes, I am aware. I was actually making point to the article above your comment, which says ONLY companies with 500 associates or more, should have to pay either a living wage or reimburse the govt for those using assistance. I think everyone should be held responsible.

It needs to be done. Jeff Bezos is almost a trillionaire but can't pay a living wage. Taxpayers subsidize his employees. Either be decent or people will eventually confiscte the wealth.

No doubt Sanders has already contacted Amazon to remove his books from their inventory? No?

Headline is misleading as hell. Bernie wants to tax 100% of the Federal Benefits Amazon's employees recieve. He's right. Why should we foot the bill because Bezos doesn't pay a living wage?

This is one of the dumbest bill I’ve ever heard of. This man is insane and it’s going to get worse unless he’s stopped. Such a hypocrite and selling his books on Amazon getting rich. Smfh!
