Great, so in addition to a $2,000 rental payment for your studio apartment you’ll also have a $1,000 electricity bill to deal with.

They're already screwing use. Because of our "high usage" the tiered system kicks us into tier 3, which has us paying double for what we use. I just paid my bill yesterday, which was $771.15. Meanwhile, these jerks are pushing for electric cars.
-
My goodness. $700. That’s absolutely ridiculous
-
I agree. I nearly had a heart attack when I opened the bill. CA punished me for keeping myself and my family cool, by double the rate I pay.
-
Doubling. *Doubling the rate I pay.

Can CA get any more pretentious and CBS, will you ask the tough questions? 50% of Energy CA uses comes from AZ and NV and that too from Coal powered plants. Nothing CA lawmakers do is grounded in honesty and reality.
-
Well, Arizona and Nevada can grant them their wish and cut off the 50% of California's energy. Then California can do the rest themselves. Let us see how energy extensive Silicon Valley and Hollywood can survive without electricity.

No fossil fuels! No nuclear! Windmills kill birds! Solar fields destroy habitats! Gonna be fun to watch this.
-
Well we're not gonna get there with that attitude!
-
Your not going to get electricity

72% of us are NOT backing the Proposal. That is patently false.
-
Tim, since when do 72% of the Californian electorate matter to the elites in Sacramento. All they have to do is bring the whole matter to the courts and there you have it, the proposal will pass despite the opposition of the majority.
-
Sadly, you are correct, Sir. This must change or California will effectively be a third-world state in less than another decade.
-
Try within 3 years. Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and the Aerospace programs in California are power hungry sectors that need continuous electricity. NASA's JPL, Lockheed will move out of the State. Then Apple and the rest of the Tech industry, then what?
