Serena is a "Superhero" and the catsuit looks great. She needed it...for her postpartum. We need to support mothers.

@CBSnews can you explain "Black Panther"-inspired, skin-tight outfit and it’s ALSO used for bloodclots she suffered when giving birth. Which is it a fashion statement or a life saving device? It’s a really big issue! So is credibility.

it can be both 🤔 also in other news basically all sports use "skin-tight" outfits, including other (female) athletes, but plenty of males too.pic.twitter.com/x8jmDQIsLa

You really don’t understand that one use is really more important? I wish I could meme better. Que video of Animal House “what are we supposed to do you moron”

Obviously one use is more important - ie, “more important = aiding one’s health - but it also can be both.

Does Serena believe she can choose non compression outfits?

(Are you just saying this particular CBS article is asking enough questions/context?) I would assume that Serena is worried about clots, given how recently she had them, and b/c she addressed it, & when referring to the suit

Its the perspective of the article that Serena wore a fashion cat suit that helps with blood clots. Rather the article should have stated that Serena needs to wear a compression suit for deadly blood clots and the one styled after the Black Panther, upset the French.

ahhh i see. i am very sorry for initially reading what you wrote as the issue being "credibility" relative to Serena herself and the statement as "fashion" VS "health" (initially thought the comment was questioning the credibility of the suit need). apologies. agree, should ...

She had a legitimate medical reason for wearing that suit. Fine to have dress codes but why now and why single this outfit out? Serena has made the French Open a lot of money and is the best all time female in the sport, show a little deference and respect!

Just like Wimbledon has an all white dress code, the French Open can impose their rules regarding attires.

Opinion: Nadal’s butt & ear scratching - then smelling his fingers is more offensive than Serena’s amazing, athletic body wearing the Catsuit. Thank you Billie Jean King for speaking out against the catsuit ban.

Oh shut up! This is so dumb. Tennis has dress codes for a reason & this is one of them. Nobody wants to see her tight pants riding up her ass. Just stop! Rules are rules, either follow them or GTFO.

As opposed to shirts actually showing her ass? Those aren’t tight pants anyways. It’s a suit designed for preventing blood clots.
