John Brennan and his ilk set a dangerous precedent for trying to sabotage a presidential candidate and then an incoming president

Can anyone explain to me why someone who is no longer working for the CIA should have a government security clearance?
-
Usually, rhe clearance is in limbo for 2 years in case said person starts work somewhere else that requires a security clearance, it's then reinstated. If 2 years pass and it's not utilized, they lose it.
-
And he’s been out of government employment since January, 2017. In what position with what agency would he possibly regain employment within the next 4.5 months ? This is not a story.
-
It is a story because there are members that keep theirs and go on to profit from it...like being a news analysis..no need for clearance.

There is no reason for him to have a clearance. As it is, too many people have a clearance,

My question is, Why do they need their high level security clearances if no longer involved in decision making or government affairs?? Shouldn't these security clearances be on a "Need to Know" basis ??
-
They keep the security clearance so that they can advise new administration’s or draw on their expertise if a serious event happens. This administration has very few career people in key positions and has failed to hire 100’s of people. We are less safe every day.
-
So what you are saying is that if they may be needed to give advice they need to know. If the administration no longer wants or needs their advice the dont need to know. The need to know was certainly applied in security clearances I have held
-
There are constant ongoing operations that we are not aware of. The CIA director for example may want to consult Brennan, now she can’t.
-
He was removed from his position so he should not have access to sensitive or classified information. The director of The CIA should rely on the people who have access.

I am sick of the Media ripping at the President for doing the right thing. You sould be ashamed of yourself! John Brennan is a bad actor. He lied under oath twice to Congress. He was doing cover-up work with Benghazi survivors. Clapper is also bad. They sould be in jail

Your statement about the “why” is a lie and you know it. Sick of the unelected government and the state owned media. Revoke his too.

*FORMER* intelligence officials. No need for them to keep them if they're no longer in government.
