From what I've been reading, it almost appears that the Superintendent and school board are doing as little as possible to protect the kids. They doubled the armed guards so now they have 2 for how many buildings? Self-locking doors can be circumvented as well as single entries.

What do they want, bars on the windows? These kids and parents will still complain no matter what they do for this school. No one could anticipate that he would do what he did. They have made great changes to that school, just my opinion.

The article said they already had the shooter labeled as a threat. But when he walked in and past the security guard to shoot up the school, the guard did absolutely nothing. So they very much could have anticipated this
