I have seen the footage so many times and can say without any doubt this is a cold blooded murder. this man should be sentenced to life without parole

Standing your ground allows you to use deadly force to defend yourself from harm, but not to commit murder because someone pushed you down. This was a shot in anger, not self-defense; a murder.
-
The law itself is flawed. Especially the Florida version, which puts the burden of proof on the state, not the shooter. It's so asinine.
-
The burden will always be on the state. It is supposed to be that. The law must be strictly enforced so that ending an attack is the aim of defense rather than just killing the attacker. Killing must be justifiable, not just convenient.
-
Huh? If the burden of the proof is on the state to show that it wasn't in self defense, rather than on the shooter to prove it was, that makes it that much easier for someone like this guy to do what he did and get away with it.
-
If you shoot someone, I don't think it's unreasonable for you to be expected to prove you felt you needed to. Particularly if you kill the person. The law needlessly encourages escalation and chaos.
-
I agree, and for the most part I believe that is how this case will work out. The shooter cannot justify what he did by claiming self-defense. I think the law will punish him as it should; harshly!

So this person had a pattern and the police put two and two together
. About time the police did their job but it came at the death
