If the girl had been shot, the words would be "Why didn't they use a taser?" Here is a great idea: don't commit theft

the family should respond with charges filed for excessive force. shes 11 and hardly a physical threat to an adult with supposed training. no excuses.
-
Don’t take what doesn’t belong to you! That’s the lesson here!
-
Oh I dont dispute she should not have been stealing. I do dispute that a child weighing under 100 pounds was tased. there is no call for excessive force. And I hate to play a race card here, but would the officers have treated a white child as harshly?

Opinion: Law enforcers, thank you for your service. The mom can stand a good tasing. There is a serious problem, with parenting, when a kid is hungry and/or stealing. That girl had a backpack; 11 year olds are very dangerous too. ‘gotta be there in the moment before I judge.

A cop used excessive force against a child & you're commending him? U recognize hunger as the child's motive, but instead of considering socioeconomic factors, you blame the mother & call for her to be tased? There is a serious problem with how you were raised. Racist.pic.twitter.com/kym8TCOAqp

What's next, tasing babies for crying?!? Any enforcement officer who is that fearful to tase a child has no business being in law enforcement ot having access to weapons.
-
I wish crying babies would be tasered. lol

Charges dropped. Now fire the reckless officer that abused that little girl. We need our police to be better than that. Problem solvers , not instigators.

To late they tased a child without a second thought, who trains monsters to shock children? The local office, is it state law? Who? Why?

Good! Tasing a young hungry girl...disgraceful!
-
Where did it say she was hungry?
-
Why else would she be stealing food?! It’s called common sense...
-
That's an awful big assumption. Not everything that is stolen is for need.
-
Really bc I’m a Teacher and you would be surprised I have students that the lunch they get at school is their only meal of the day! Not an assumption. Called life experiences.
-
I'm not surprised but nothing in this article mentioned the why.
-
Again it’s most likely bc she was hungry! It’s not rocket science.
-
The childs mother said she was dared by friends to take the snacks. So, maybe stealing isn't always about need....
