Why in the world would her parents put that 3-year old girl through that ordeal. Shame on those parents!!!

Why not ask the parents why they want to come here and what they’re trying to escape? Naw. Then you’d be forced to exhibit compassion. Never mind!

Then ask the parent why they didn't cross the border legally at a port of entry claiming asylum

You just don’t get it, do you Madame X. They could be in immediate danger. But you don’t care. You have an X. Is a white sheet next?

Ed, wake up. They admitted theycrossed our border illegally. They are illegal aliens, and were arrested. If they truly are seeking asylum (which I doubt), they should go through the proper channels. The grandmother said she wouldn't do it again - only because she got caught.

I already hate how people are responding in these comments. This POS President is trying to cut down on immigration but I see his wife’s family can come! We were all immigrants at some point just ridiculous

Inhuman, utterly inhuman. A Despicable, incomprehensible, disgusting thing to do to any mother. I’m beyond sickened by Americans.

Mom should have considered that when choosing to enter the USA illegally instead of through a legal point of entry. She was safer than in the hands of child traffickers or gangs.

The Trump team deliberately closed legal entry points, thereby forcing asylum seekers to illegally enter, and thus Trump team had an excuse to jail ‘illegal ‘ immigrants.😐

If, arriving at our border to illegally cross it, they'd have encountered an enormous, impenetrable wall, probably they'd have turned around & gone home, or maybe they'd have applied for asylum properly. Either way, they would not have been separated. #BuildTheWall
