She ended up in hospital with broken ribs. When you get pushed off like that, you fall the wrong way into the water. That bridge, it turns out, is really dangerous. Other people got injured without being pushed off. Prank gone really bad...

Awful. Lucky she survived. The person who pushed her should be charged.
-
After the parents get hold of her. Charges won’t matter. I’m sure she’ll be a “first offender” and juvenile blah, blah, blah. She needs to be institutionalized for thinking that would be funny or considered a joke.
-
I am not going to defend the prankster, but she/he is a teenager and they don't think... It's just awful that this happened and they should, at the very least, put a sign there. I watched this story and it is clear she is not the only person who was injured at this spot.
-
True. They don’t think. Proven by science.
-
And unfortunately some never outgrow their stupidity.
-
Closer your eyes an imagine if the girl who did the PUSHING was black. There would be no "she's a teenager also" talk

This was a fun joke that turned south and had terrible consequences for sure, but some of you need to chill. You know how often this kind of thing happens? Attempted manslaughter? Cmon, I’m sure that’s exactly what she was trying to do.
-
The push could have resulted in a death. Actions have consequences.
-
I get that, but her just jumping off could have resulted in her death, but of course no says anything about that.
-
Well, that’s a conscious decision she would have made, no? In this instance, the poor decision was made for her.

She belly flopped from 20 meters up. She didn’t have time to adjust her body; the impact is totally different even if she would have gotten hurt either way. She’s old enough to know not push someone off of a bridge. Especially when they say no. Not normal in the slightest.

Ok I'm not trying to be cruel that was wrong and that person should be punished, but as a parent what the hell was she doing on the otherside of that bridge anyway? She could have slipped and broke her neck for one. They all looked intoxicated not a smart move by any of them.
-
Because it's very common to jump off of that bridge safely. When you're prepared and expecting it and can enter the water safely. Not when you're SHOVED and flailing.
-
I think the point he was making, is that human error happens, and jumping from 20+ feet in the air translates into hitting water at over 30 mph. Aside from being pushed, jumping from that height is dangerous, but to each their own.
-
Everything can be dangerous if you're stupid enough. We jump from the same height in a silly 24hr obstacle race, and maybe 2 of 2000 people get hurt, even with the fatigue of running for 18+ hours. Kids will be kids, and she would have been fine if not pushed.pic.twitter.com/oyIKqjzfcH
-
Thanks that was worthwhile information, puts what happen into a different perspective, she would have been fine if she had been allowed to properly jump correctly, so being pushed is what really caused her injuries. Makes sense! Nothing mitigating on the victim, that's a crime!
