maybe stop shopping at the most expensive grocery store known to man, and cut the unnecessary overpriced stuff for a little while

The article says that a friend who knew she was struggling had given her a $250 gift card to Whole Foods. It's nice to take a break from (generally warranted) cynicism every now and then. :)
-
you ever been to whole foods? they have plenty of good deals if you shop like a normal human. i have zero doubt she had a ton of overpriced crap she didn't need
-
Someone who doesn't normally shop at Whole Foods wouldn't know how to optimize a trip to Whole Foods, would they? No need to be a Debbie Downer unless you enjoy it. :)
-
i'm just being a realist. lots of people feed whole families with much less than that. $250 is a lot to a lot of people. it wasn't about "knowing how to optimize" - it was about not knowing how to count or being too careless to count. she was simply careless,

$375 for groceries?! What the hell was she buying?

Seriously the title should be "Apparently some people can spend $375 on groceries. Oh also something something Ludicrous."

Someone needs to throw him in a grocery store, he would be able to find his orange makeup he needs.

$375?! And she didn’t even know he would pay? If you have the audacity to pack $375 worth of groceries in a shopping cart... you are not broke! You are also probably gonna get the ‘beetus soon.pic.twitter.com/716qbDSyS9

She had a gift card from Whole Foods, but there wasn’t enough on the card to cover the items. If she had one to a regular grocery store, she could have saved $200.
