With so much destruction, natural and inhumane (By the President) it is so sad that people now have continued heat waves. Instead of oil pipeline they should make water pipelines from flood probe areas to Arizona, California, Nevada, etc.

So, reading this post on "smashing" heat records in Death Valley at 108, two things come out. First, the claim is unconfirmed, and two, in 1917 the temp was above 120 for many days. Suddenly it seems less dramatic.
