How about nuclear weapons... is individual access to these a 'fundamental human dignity' too? A 'fundamental human right'? Or you don't have the means to post blueprints for a plastic version... yet? Where do you draw the line? What you can get away with?

-
Actually, blueprints to make a nuke are on the internet, freely available to anyone who chooses. That's all they are. Blue prints. Information.
-
But we can't print one, yet, right? Would you be all for this release of information if we could?
-
So you are against 3D printing innovation? Cool
-
That is empty rhetoric. You can't knock down what I said, so you create a straw man: claim I said something I didn't that you can knock down.I am against sensible limitations on what may be printed, yes, since I care that potential criminals do not have access to lethal weapons.
-
Sensible limitations on transfer of information? How can you have such a thing in a free society?
-
We don't have a 'free' society. Everything comes at a cost, and it's juvenile to argue to the contrary. We are not a democracy precisely because 'the people' are often stupid. (Ask the Romans. See: Republic.) An effective society has the rule of law, which means limitations.
-
The key to avoiding tyranny is checks and balances. When any person, or any group has huge power over another, and there is no way to make them suffer for abuse, they WILL abuse, no matter how sweet, noble and kind they seemed to be at the outset. No power without consequence!!

Whew...where we did go wrong? Sir, access to a firearm is not a fundamental anything. Access to quality healthcare, education, drinking water, transportation, sidewalks, jobs that pay a living wage, etc., are fundamental human rights.pic.twitter.com/LKTXYDYi37

The right to be protected should always prevail over the right to own weapons. Works that way in almost all developed countries, except yours.
-
There is no right to be protected. Ask any victim of crime. The government has no ability to protect every citizen. The duty therefore falls on you. Especially if you have a family.
-
The best protection is prevention by making sure people can't obtain weapons that easy. In our country even children can tell.
Your gov is responsible for killing it's own future generations. Your future generations & children also, or are you Russian?pic.twitter.com/QrXAn12DVR

How is having access to guns a right and driving a privilege?

I think the right to a ballot box is a fundamental human right.
-
What about the human right to live?
-
You have the right to protect your own body = live. No one but you can or normally will do that. Police do not even have the duty to protect you.https://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/justices-rule-police-do-not-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html …
-
You can’t do that witha metal weapon?
-
His blueprints are for metal weapons too.
