The collective groan of disappointment of every child in the district can be heard from here.

Snow and ice are no fun when the teacher gives homework assignments and the students have computers.

You know, it's really important that kids learn early that things don't always go the way you planned. "No snow days" sounds like they want these kids on an assembly line...!

I bet must kids learn more during snow days, than school days.

And I wonder if that plan would work in Mexico during heavy rains, or very cold or hot weather days.

How many snow days do they get in South Carolina? And what about kids without the technology?

Not a fan of taking away snow days. As a teacher in a place that has snow days, they're just part of winter fun. Also, giving assignments is not teaching. It is useless busywork. Let the kids and teachers have a day off. It shouldn't be a big deal.
