“Please don’t shoot me bro, I didn’t do nothing wrong”. Not everyone would know how to react in such situations. I get tensed even when pulled over for a broken light and I’ve never committed a crime in my life.

The cops don't know if he was legally allowed to carry. It doesn't matter that he ran. Shooting a man in the back used to be disgraced as cowardly. IT STILL IS. They get bad guys but they cannot become them. Ever. Otherwise they're warlords and not the protectorate of the people.

All he had to do is stop.
-
You can’t shoot ppl running away. You don’t become judge, jury, and executioner because you can’t run fast enough.
-
Well good thing that’s not why they shot him, also, you can. If someone is an eminent threat to the community, you absolutely can and should. But again, not why they shot in this case

If they had to fire, why not just shoot him in the leg?
-
Great idea Mario shoot him in the leg so when he hits the ground he can grab his gun and shoot them! It’s this line of thinking that makes me scared to live here anymore. Easier solution is don’t run and obey the officers commands. It’s funny how people feel they have a choice!
-
Obviously he should have stopped when told to by the police. Clearly he ignored them. My point was the police could have shot him in the leg to stop him. I am very pro-police. I just think they had another option.
-
Police are usually trained to fire their service weapons to kill. If somebody is a direct threat to the public & the officers on the scene, then shooting to wound him could cause him to fall down and pull the trigger of his firearm at the police.
-
Obviously you aren't in law enforcement!!! YOU don't know what it's like to have that happen to you. I stand with the cop. The video shows it.
-
Are you directing this toward me? I’m not in law enforcement, but I have studied criminal justice, sociology, criminal psychology, and general psychology.
-
So you have a BS!!!! Know it all!!!!
-
I don’t know it all. I never claimed I did. I hope you have a good evening (or day depending where you are). Take care.

1. He was a felon which prohibits him from possessing a gun. 2. He fired that weapon into the air. 3. He didn’t comply and ran with a loaded weapon in his hand. Conclusion - There are consequences for YOUR actions and sometimes those include your demise.

Let's all be honest the cop shot him bc he got tired of chasing him. It's the primary reason why most cops shoot. They tired of losing the foot race. Dude had a gun but it never looked like he pointed it at the cop as a threat. Cop could have shot at leg or foot. He chose back.
-
Put on a badge for a day. You can Monday morning quarterback this all you want. When the officer said to drop the gun he should have. He didn't. He got shot. It's justified. Get over it
