Another one? Come on man...like why did these guys, being the prospects they were, feel so emboldened to say this racist stuff?

They lived in a bubble. A very toxic one.

So what changes when they make it to the Major League? Do people really change that much in 5-6 years? Money doesn’t change your heart.

This could be one of a handful of reasons behind it. I don’t like speculating, but one big reason (and in no way am I attempting to justify/back up Newcomb for what I said) could be because he was roughly 17-18 when he tweeted them & young people say dumb stuff all of the time...
-
I’m not here to bash a Young’un, but I hate to see these guys behaving this way. Teenagers say and do dumb stuff, but 17-18 years old is old enough to be socially conscious.

Here's the thing guys, everyone says or does stupid stuff at some point. If you do, apologize sincerely and stop saying or doing stupid stuff. But defending your actions is NOT a sincere apology. Come on people.

What would you say if some rich minority wrote this? You would be up in arms. Release him, fire him. Call him names. Yep, we see it all the time. Think about it.
