As a white person who lived on the South Side in the 80s, my experience in black neighborhoods was almost always positive. Most people everywhere are kind. That we feel this act is news says as much about our society's stereotypes about blacks than about actual black people.

Being that the person helping was Black, he took a risk he would get shot dead. And he was unarmed increasing the chances of getting shot dead.

Stop stirring up trouble. Not all black people hate the police. That sentiment is whipped up by activists preying on communities and by criminals who want to portray the police as the enemy in order for them to carry out their nefarious activities without interruption.

Who was then tased, handcuffed and beaten..... Sorry, getting too used to these awful stories of police abuse.
-
You sound intolerant of police. Did you ever consider that the media is more apt to print a story of police abuse than it is of police doing good things? Remember the motto "If it bleeds, it leads." Negative stories sell.
-
You inferred that interpretation. I did not imply it.
-
You made a statement about the bad behavior of a person based solely on the fact that he was a cop. I think that certainly implies an intolerance to cops as a group.
-
Try looking for another interpretation. Stretch your brain and biases a little.

What a surprise! A non answer and a personal attack. Brilliant response! You have convinced me that I am wrong.

Cops are just people who have a job to do. They're no different than you or I, if a person needs help like this officer did, I applaud them
