"This is some paranoid thriller from the 1970s," Jeffrey Goldberg said on @FaceTheNation. "The American government has no idea what happened in this meeting between the president of the United States and the Russian president" https://cbsn.ws/2iuAAgA pic.twitter.com/xKDoOXwici

The American people do not know! The nation’s top executive trades away every national position in secret without Congressional approval! This is exactly why presidential authority needs checks and balances! Can’t believe I’m writing this! #HelsinkiFallout

So what? People can have private conversations. This is just more Trump bashing. It needs to stop. Obama didn't get this kind of bashing, and he was the worst president ever!

This is a privilege a president has. Not every conversation a president has is privileged to the press or even other lawmakers. If it is we would like the transcripts from the past few presidents as well. I’m sure this would be acceptable to those screaming for full disclosure.

When has the American people ever been completely informed about all presidential and government meetings? Take Uranium One as a prime example of a coverup.

Unacceptable. They exposed a confidential informant just to appease to the pseudo-dictator, that translator should be subpoenaed.
