I certainly understand the danger of the canopy trapping people if the boat capsizes/sinks. It looked like this boat was enclosed with windows?? I have never seen a Duck Boat in person, just pictures. If windows were up,that would completely entrap people along w/the canopy.

They are thick plastic windows, not easyto break out, they would need to be cut. These really aren’t boats, more like trucks that float but not designed for bad weather.

Thank you . I wasn’t sure what I was seeing in the video and the video is really hard to watch. This is just awful.

DUWK boats are not deathtraps just simply by existing. Hazards come from operators that do not take basic safety precautions if they operate in urban areas or areas vulnerable to weather. If they are cared for and operated by responsible people the rides are great fun.

Yeah, it’s not good. 13 died in a capsized Duck Boat near Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1999. Probably time to ban them or really over-regulate for the common good.

Everything has to be regulated by the government, right? Keep pushing your stories to "keep people safe". What about the boats that travel here illegally for freedom and die? Maybe we should regulate illegal border crossings.
