200k in debt for frivolous spending isn't modest! Furthermore & even more disgusting, is this was for season tickets! Not house debt, not a debt for college, not a car, but for season tickets to eat & drink & feed his face at baseball games he clearly couldn't afford! Bad judgment

Sounds better than wasting debt on a worthless liberal arts degree and more satisfying.
-
Actually, the vast majority of employers value liberal arts degrees. Also, the average debt for the degree at a nonprofit, private college is under $20k. This is considered good debt because it provides a return on investment and interest payments are tax deductible.pic.twitter.com/3UThsl9xoD

I would imagine the average debt of a college grad is much higher than that. The difference is that those that receive STEM degrees will have the income stream to pay them off. Also, some of us don't get to deduct our student loan debt from our taxes. I'll let you figure out why.
-
Per the College Board, in 2016, the average debt for a graduate of a nonprofit, private college was $19,900. There are plenty of scare stories of students with high debt, but many of these students attended for-profit colleges or went to med school or law school.
-
This statistic would use students with no debt (parents paid for their college or full schollys). At private lib art schools that would probably be around half or more. What is scary is the students that have to take on debt. It is astronomical with a bad return on investment.
-
Actually, private liberal arts schools enroll as many or more low-income students as public colleges, and they graduate at higher rates in fewer years than those who attend public college. You can find more info at http://liberalartslife.org or https://www.cic.edu/resources-research/charts-data …
-
Also, keep in mind that the liberal arts include math and science. http://www.cic.edu:81/lowdown/what/Pages/default.aspx …

Hey if he's repaying his debt he's doing better than the US who can never repay it's national debt. The US is on the interest only payment plan.
