He was in poor condition when they found them. He was suffering from malnutrition. He probably sacrificed any food or snacks he had to the boys. This guy is a good guy who kept those boys alive for 10 days.

He should have never taken them in there. If they were his kids then I’d understand but to take other peoples kids in a cave was pretty irresponsible.

I've read a few reports that he was the weakest of the bunch after having shared what food and water he had with the boys. It'd be understandable that he'd need medical attention sooner if that's the case. I hope they all will be okay
