I'm so glad Mum and the kids are safe and well, and I'm glad she was able to "disable" the thief. However... Left the keys in the ignition? Left a load weapon in the glove compartment? Left the car unlocked? Bloody hell!

Most people leave their keys in the ignition and the door unlocked while they are pumping gas, since they are still with their car. Toddlers were strapped in the back w/ a 5pt harness. She is a TX gun owner, one could wager she had the safety on/nothing chambered/was a quick load
-
Well that was wrong...why carry unless u have one in the chamber?
-
To each his own.

Fair enough.

I adore all the "Mom's first mistake was..." Comments. How about "Donny Douchebag should keep his hands of that which is not his less he get his cranium ventilated by a mother of two."?

good news that she defense herself and chilrens but still sad news with guns involved
-
How would it have turned out without the gun?
-
I am only saying that there is too much guns moving in peoples hand I am not in this case said it is wrong I said good that she defense
-
I think there are not enough guns. Every mother should be able to defend herself and her children from a motivated attacker.
-
Everybody has rights to have opinion and mine is that there is too much guns and violence in this world and I am happy that guns are not big problem in my country

a "warning shot" in the head is kinda crazy but I glad her family is safe
-
The carjacker could have just... Idk... Not tried to steal a car?
-
Yeah I'm not disputing that he's an idiot. She understandably panicked. I'm just saying I personally wouldn't aim for the head--but if I panicked I could very well hit the head too. I was just surprised; you can get in trouble for excessive force but it's not always controllable.
-
If my car was being jacked and my young family was in the backseat, I wouldn't give two shits about "excessive force." I will not sacrifice their lives for some thug.

I'm glad she was able to defend her self and kids but don't leave your kids alone in a car even for a second what if that idiot would've found that loaded gun this could've had a different outcome
-
I'm going to need a video of you pumping gas while staying inside the car. :)
