Being Black is a 24 hour Migraine headache in this country! Shameful that this Black young man who had the highest grade point average of his class was blocked by the principal to give his speech! Principal's bigotry was not left in the school parking lot! Needs to be fired!

WTAF?! Kudos to the mayor for stepping in and giving this exceptional young man a venue for his speech.

What country do we live in anymore where a student is denied giving a graduation speech? Let's be honest for no other reason than he is black.

This is disgusting! Charter schools do not have to follow the rules! The principal should be fired and the teachers should have protested! The young man’s accomplishments are amazing and he is attending a great college! You have already won! Good luck!

"He also acknowledged some past run-ins with the principal over student protests." Sounds like the kid merely pissed the principal off too much.

Why did the principal refuse to allow him. Was there a reason or was it because he was black because that is not a reason that's racism and it's against the law.

The speech was an attack against the principal because he was against disruptive student protests, and that's why he was allowing him to make it,. Not because he is black as you imply.
