A Tennessee woman is suing NASA over alleged moon dust she claims belongs to her. Laura Cicco says astronaut Neil Armstrong gave her the vial of moon dust when she was a child. The question now is whether she could be forced to give it back to NASA:pic.twitter.com/pvyda3XtOD

NASA wants it back because they know clearly it's fake. NASA never made it to the moon.

What happened? It was in her possession. Did she find it, call NASA, and they sent thugs to wrestle it from her fingers? I don’t understand how NASA came to claim the vial. When? How? That detail is completely missing.

Regardless of whether this is fake or not fake moon dust what's the issue here?. As far as I'm aware NASA still have boxes of lunar samples sitting around from the Apollo era unopened. Seems a bit petty to me.

I think so. It may be that no astronaut should have kept any moon dust

Why does NASA need to have it when they already have the information it could provide? Besides, possession is nine tenths of the law.
