That's a pretty shitty way for a place to treat ab employee who has someone they love in life support. What is the name of the company. We seriously need to boycott

The name is listed in the article and corporate fired the manager.
-
Good she had absolutely no business being a manager or a mother for that matter.
-
In this case, the company appears to have acted quickly and appropriately in firing the manager and granting the employee indefinite leave.

The manager should have said, "I'm sorry about your son and no worries. I'll get the information together so you can apply for FMLA. Can we do anything else to help you?" It's called compassion and there isn't enough of it these days.

I had a similar text message with a WalMart district manager while I was in store level management. I had zero absences in 4 years & hundreds of unpaid time because I was "salaried". We are all slaves to our employers. There is no way to win. Do what they ask & change jobs ASAP.

That's a wrongful termination lawsuit if she has a clear work history.
-
Article says that corporate gave the employee whatever time she needed.
-
Yes but the boss tried to fire her. If she had been terminated she would have a case.

That’s straight up evil. Good on the company for giving that wretch the boot.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Violation of FMLA.
-
Maybe....a lot of rules with FMLA and we dont know if she had signed the paperwork yet. But this is when social media works for the good and so glad to see the company took the right action.
-
Yeah thank goodness for social media. I’d hate for every one to waste their energy leaving rage reviews on Yelp.
-
The parent company rectified it. Dawn kept her job and got the time off, and the manager was fired. So don't go after the business.
-
I’m very glad of it. I was being sarcastic about the reviews. People love to feel like they’re part of the outrage machine. They probably already have a few on their page.
-
Some but the majority i believe just need somewhere to go. Theres a LOT of outrage going on esp now. A lot of us are on twitter just because theres nobody we can talk to in our personal lives about that outrage.
-
And that’s great. All these interactions are good that’s why we’re all here. But this kind of stuff is beyond silly. This is someone trying to make themselves feel like they really made a differencepic.twitter.com/Y9PmMXhdv9

Lol yea i kinda have to agree with you here!!
