Of course they can! Most of these positions could be offered to the homeless. A bit of money, a job, and a place to call home? It would go a long way towards solving multiple problems.

What we need with the homeless is a place to get back on feet. Those jobs don’t even pay enough to pay rent! That’s the shame. There are ppl abusing systems too that doesn’t help
-
True, but if we can house 2K+ kids, we can house a homeless person willing to work a crap job. A temporary home can be part of their wages. The pride from counting, from a job, from a room that's theirs: those are solutions to the problem(s).
-
True! But did you know that I’ve talked with many ppl who are homeless and some don’t want the responsibility and some are just wanting drugs. We need shelters that can help and out ppl back in line with life! We can do this and help the immigrants too. We are America
-
I've met homeless ppl who spend their $ on booze. That's their choice. Some shelters help (ex: Salvation Army), and there is $ available to help the homeless get back into a place of their own. But funds are often limited and they have to want it.
-
Exactly! And some do.
-
introducing "homeless" into the argument is a diversion. Farm work requires a healthy young workforce and no reason (other than farm lobby) it shouldn't be paid fairly. It is work "Americans" could be doing, but Americans unlikely to work for slave-labor wages and conditions.
-
What do you mean it shouldn’t be paid fair! Oh come on! Everyone derservez to be treated right. I have huge issue with this my friend

illegal immigrants take the leftovers from Jim Crow 1938: the political coalition enacting the New Deal included Southern Democrats who wanted to keep farm labor ― most of it done by African-Americans ― as cheap as possible.https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/democrats-propose-overtime-pay-for-farm-workers-to-rectify-racial-injustice_us_5b2fd809e4b0321a01d26609?zi9 …

I guess they need to figure it out. No industry in America should survive by using slave labor. This is wrong 6 ways to Sunday.

Funny, the same thing was said about our auto industry & others when all the men went off to war. History taught us that we can overcome anything... it's politicians & MSM that seem caught in the idea that we can't do it, & how they know what's better for the USA than the People!

That’s bullshit. Try a now hiring sign or running an ad in the paper.

You know what, I don’t have a lot to complain about, I’ve been pretty successful, but there was many times I took shit jobs because I mouths to feed—- try driving fence post in West Texas rock in August for 13 bucks and hour then complain about my mercedes u asshats
-
nothing wrong with 13 bucks an hour. Try fighting terrorists in the desert sun where the sand is 140 degrees for less than minimum wage and coming home to a country that shits on veterans.

Thank you brother!!

Democrats push the fight for $15 minimum wage while they import a slew of people to keep wages low.
