Doesn't make it any less a powerful image, & a rather striking representation of the children who have been separated from their parents.

So sick of all the misleading journalism........
-
What part was misleading? The photo caption says “Welcome to America”. No one claimed she was separated. I know it’s hard to read articles, but just try sometime.

Okay she wasn’t but lots of other children were.

83% of children that show up at the border are unaccompanied. Those that are accompanied must be separated to determine familial relationship. Separation/extended separation is the fault of the parents as well as a legal agreement that must be followed to PROTECT the children.
-
This argument that we have to remove them to protect them is insane. Let’s just go to Walmart and start removing kids because we don’t know for sure who they belong too.
-
The Flores agreement REQUIRES that children be separated. If the DHS doesn't do this they are in violation of a court order. The court order with the effect of law that was claimed to have not existed but now will be the undoing of the EO signed by Pres. Trump.
