If you have to use gunfire to detain a fleeing suspect, you shouldn't be a cop.

Nothing about this thug being involved in a shooting minutes before and having two semi-automatic weapons in the car?
-
Police should bring suspects to justice, not commit their own form of justice so yeah.
-
So a peace officer should put his life at unreasonably risk to arrest someone? Do you not that officers do have loved ones to go home too? Do you not realize about 125 officers are murder every year from those that you support?
-
The officer's life was not at risk with the suspect running away.

Don't flee, do what the police officer says!!!!
-
Yeah! That worked out great for Philando Castile.

Why aren't police taught to "shoot to maim", rather than "shoot to kill"? At least then the justice system can take over, and victims & their families have a chance of getting answers!

The statistics for police hitting targets in general are very poor. It’d be easier to teach police officers not to shoot at people who are running away and don’t present a danger to others. There’s no reason for it even if the suspect is guilty of a crime.

Why did he run?

I do that’s why I asked
-
Hypothetically, let’s just say he ran because he was involved in the drive-by shooting earlier. So let’s assume he ran because he was guilty and didn’t want to get caught. Does that in anyway warrant the death penalty? Why didn’t the officer just chase him down and arrest him?
-
Why run? Why not COMPLY? If I am a young black male and I know the police have shot and killed young black males for not complying, guess what?!? You can bet your ass I’m going to do my absolute best to comply and NOT run away from the police

Again, why run? That is EXACTLY the point. If he had complied chances are he’d still be alive

Unarmed people being murdered is bad, but not nearly as bad as kneeling during a song
-
This is going to go over well.
