If there is a law, cite the statute. There’s a law saying we have to take the kids from their parents? A federal law? When did it pass? Another LIE.

Correction: Trump continues to lie and blame the Democrats for separating children from their parents at the Border. It is a Trump policy. Report accurately the lies your organization is part of the problem.

CORRECTION: Trump continues to LIE about a non existent law on Family separations. And he keeps LYING about the Democrats being to blame for the actions of his administration.
-
Democrats created this law, choosing to ignore said law for years and not enforcing the law like is being done now doesn't make it any less true.
-
If you’re so sure this is correct, find the laws on a legal site & see what it says. AG Session made a big production announcing this “new policy.” There’s a video of his announcement. What is being claimed now makes no legal sense. But even if true, the president could undo it.
-
I don't deny Sessions made a big song & dance over enforcing it with zero tolerance but that law has been there since Bill Clinton's time as President. Executive Order is what created this DACA mess, if Dems in Congress gave a damn they'd agree to the Goodlatte bill next week
-
It meets all the criteria set by the president gives 1.2m people pathway to citizenship and ends the farcical nature of DACA forever. Obstructing this bill will be solely on them if it doesn't pass.
-
Immigration has needed fixing forever. And both sides need to work at it. But the president created the urgency in both issues by changing the policies needlessly. If he did it to bring them to the table, he should own it, not turn around & blame anyone else for what he changed.
-
It wouldn't of mattered when he brought these policies to an end as it's been Dem101 to obstruct on everything, the bottom line is you can't keep saying you're for these illegals & DACA to then keep voting down the bills that would offer them a genuine pathway.
-
Let’s be honest here. Obstruction is a bipartisan pastime. Neither party has a monopoly. He stopped DACA. He created this separation policy. There’s NO LAW requiring the separation. If you don’t trust news agencies, find the laws they’re talking about & check legal publications.

Break the law you go to jail and your kids go to foster care. Happens 1000s of tine a day to US men and woman. Is there a law that makes that happen? No? States just do that because?
