I just don't get why so many ppl are against a minimum wage you can actually live on.
-
I don't either. I mean you could live on it in the 50's but now everything is so damned expensive that it NEEDS to change
-
it was different, in the 50s the super rich paid taxes, in the 50s profits werent the ultimate expression of the "free market", it's not because things became too expensive its that wages (and taxation of the super rich) never caught up.

America ceos make 300x more than their workers compared to 11x-13x in Europe and Asia. Safe to say they don’t plan on passing that money down anytime soon.
-
They shouldnt have too. Clearly not everyone is qualified to be a CEO or everyone would do it. They worked smart, and there money is directly tied to the company they run Commission >>>>>>>> Hourly
-
Yea, hard to argue with huh? Only a feeble mind can reply with “lol”. You’re the epitome of dumbasses on twitter.

Is America great yet
@realDonaldTrump? -
Yes it is! Unless you have no skills, education or motivation to exceed minimum wage.
-
and how exactly is someone supposed to GET skills and education to exceed minimum wage
-
and a large portion of the people who DO get skills and an education to surpass this STILL graduate into minimum wage jobs sooo
-
I was applying for a part time job at a fucking FOREVER 21 & there was a guy who was a published leukemia researcher who was applying bc his last job in a lab paid minimum wage. So what even is this skilled/unskilled logic they speak of? F21 paid better than cancer research lol
-
That's bullshit, don't even
-
He was getting paid federal minimum wage ($7.25) and f21 was offering $10/h for the position he applied to, f21 does group job interviews so I was there, I’m not him, so I can’t prove to you anything, but if it will help u rest easier to think I’m lying go off I guess lmfao
-
A published leukemia researcher making 7.25...oh, jesus christ. I can't wrap my head around it

Crazy how America isn’t a third world country but sure loves to treat its people like we are one
-
Might want to try living in third world country before making that statement. VAST difference.
-
Really? Third world countries don’t get clean water. Flint doesn’t have clean water. We just took healthcare from a lot of people. The only difference is we have the technology, but that’s only for certain people
-
How very christian of you.
