First of all: WOW!! Just freaking WOW! Second: it's a darned good thing he was in a civilized country. If he'd been here in the US, trump would've called him in and then had ICE arrest and deport him.

Or the police would have shot him.

But why people standing there were holding the baby but didn’t pull him up??
-
Not taking away from Gassama's bravery, but I was wondering three same thing!
-
Me too. I’m not taking anything away from him but something isn’t making sense when you watch that video. Clearly one man is holding the baby.
-
There are better videos that show what was going on. To answer your question, when he started climbing the neighbors were not on their balcony. They came out as he was climbing. Also, there is a partition between the units, hard to see in this video.

why in the hell didn't the others grab him?
-
Yeah wasn't there someone standing right there ? , plus the guy probably could have ran up the stairs faster than climbing
-
It looked like there was divider preventing the other guy from grabbing him, but he did look like he had a hand on him. I thought the Assassin's Creed climbing was cool!
-
Yeah he was a hero too. Had he not been there holding the arm the child likely would gave fallen. Why didn't he get any credit. Not even a mention.
-
Didn't fit their narrative....anyways glad the guy did what he did and the kid survived, his father was ridiculously reckless leaving a youngster alone like that....sheeeeesh!
