Shuffield was caught on video in 2019 punching a woman he was upset had blocked the exit to a Deep Ellum parking lot.
The incident made national headlines after police initially only charged the woman for breaking his truck’s rear window following their argument.

Jurors found Shuffield NOT GUILTY of aggravated assault, opting to convict him for simple assault instead.
They also found he did NOT use a deadly weapon in committing the crime of obstruction, a question they were required to answer.
