The beauty of this is that Rep. Jones will run again in the special election, now recognized as a hero, and will win in a landslide -- to once again correct the legislative Repubicans who are amused by guns in schools.

The Tennessee Three should’ve been cheered, not subjected to votes of expulsion. Gloria Johnson survived by just one vote. Justin Jones was thrown out. The difference? He is Black. This is racist autocracy in service of the gun lobby. Shameful. Democracy is dying in Tennessee.

When M&Ms introduced a purple candy spokse-candy, it came under attack by Trump Republicans as promoting gay-ness. So Mars pulled the candy spokes-candies, seemingly surrendering to the Republican hate. At the end of the Super Bowl, M&Ms featured the purple candy in its new ad.
