Last week I pointed out that a story critical of SF DA Chesa Boudin was factually incorrect. Since then, his critics have gone to war on my mentions, inbox. I’ve been called racist (for criticizing an AAPI journalist), doxed, had demands that I be fired, etc.

What’s hard to understand is why you are using a word—safety—which is about empirical facts (how many people are at risk and to what degree) to refer to people’s factually inaccurate perceptions about those facts. You’re misusing a word and doubling down on that misuse.
