Tsunami warning cancelled for inlet off Anchorage, Alaska. But police say extensive damage to buildings, tell people to stay off roads due to cracks, downed power lines. So far, no report of injuries.
Mike West, Alaska's state seismologist, says in statement that rumours 'about a very specific large aftershock' are unfounded. Says aftershocks are expected to continue 'for quite some time' but they will generally be smaller than today's quakes.
