Quail Ridge is where the CA lichen society will be having its annual meeting Jan 26- nice summary of lichens to expect, and we'll surely add to the list. QR is just far enough out of the central valley that some cool cyanolichens and other air-quality-sensitive species occur.

This year's evening presentations (after dinner on Jan. 26) will feature three early career lichenologists talking about their exciting research: Kevin Ball (staining lichen yeasts), Chris Adlam (lichens and fire in the Klamaths), and Allie Weill (chaparral lichens and fire)
