So, is it really inflation when wages aren’t increasing? Food, gas, housing costs are going up as are massive profits in those industries. That looks like price gouging to me, not inflation. So why is everyone so surprised that interest rate increases aren’t making an impact?

I think it says a lot about John Tory that he felt no sense of shame about shutting down warming centres for unhoused people or violently evicting them from parks, but as soon as the public was aware of his sex life he was so ashamed that he resigned instantly.
