The California Republican Party has NOT endorsed Proposition 13 on the March Primary Ballot. We are aware of a mailer that falsely claims that the CA GOP supports this measure and we are exploring all legal options to stop this misinformation campaign.pic.twitter.com/r45xs9cXXG
We also want to make sure that our members are educated on what this measure is, which is a school bond placed on the ballot by the legislature and the Gov. This measure DOES NOT impact the original Prop13 or change the property tax protections contained in that original measure.
However, there is another measure targeted for the November ballot that will change Proposition 13 protections, and we expect that our membership will take a position on that measure at our May convention.
I voted HELL NO
I got that mailer. I cried foul. Many more mailers such as this may appear as they do every year. People can also pay to be on mailers such as this. They can be confusing because there may be a conservative candidate on there & people may falsely assume that all on the flyer are.
The gas tax one was false two years ago and they used the money for climate change
We voted NO on Prop 13 - sounded like it would end up the same as schools and roads receiving lottery money - which by my roads .. is a crock of shit
