The more I think about it the more offensive it is, how dare she perform a non-apology to a tribunal having been told by the same tribunal months earlier she shd have apologised - it’s ridiculous and shouldn’t be allowed to happen really

All I can say is that as an outside observer, it was very obvious that it could have happened genuinely on many occasions

Lets hope the tribunal find it equally as unconvincing.

I'd not hold your breath, have zero confidence in the process at this point

It felt a bit odd that additional evidence was allowed after the tribunal decision on her impairment occurred. For a quasi-judicial process, how much can be taken into consideration?

Completely agree John, I think it's wrong that she's able to submit further evidence, with months having past with her allowed yet more time to 'crystallise' her insight - if it was all wrapped up in August none of that cld have happened

She has a right to plea mitigation but some of what was presented I can't place as appropriate for consideration as mitigation. It reads as very blurry lines. Agree the six months wait to consider it is ridiculous.

When she gave evidence in August she showed no/ltd remorse, she claimed yday (in statement that wasn't shared publicly in tribunal but referred to) she now had more insight, which clearly wasn't present when tribunal first sat, so not sure shd be taken into consideration at all

Any 'remorse' that takes nearly five years to appear should be discounted. When accompanied by an apology to the panel, game over. Surely.

Exactly, insight taking 4.5yrs to develop surely has to be incompatible with being a doctor. It's unsafe

Perhaps insight/remorse should have some sort of 'half-life' principle applied? The longer it takes to appear, the less weight should be given to it.
