It is a bad thing, of course, but everything's relative here. Several of us have learned through experience that there are many doctors who behave defensively anyway. In many ways, that's exactly what has led us to this 'clash' of perspectives, imho. Tipping point ahead.

My mum's GP wasn't defensive at all. However the PCT was hopeless, although probably more a case of 'deeply inappropriate communication' than outright defensiveness. I'm sure that some doctors - and nurses - are defensive though: and my online time is over for today, now.
