Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

This does not appear to be a review of gross negligence manslaughter, but of how to explain the law to doctors. Since juries decide whether negligence is "gross" ( "truly exceptionally bad") there can be no exhaustive list of what constitutes gross negligence and what does not.
I suspect there is little that can be done about the law and that this is more about the threshold for bringing prosecutions in healthcare settings.
The CPS's policy governing whether to prosecute for "medical manslaughter" is in my view at the heart of the matter. However, surely that is not a question for the Department of Health and Social Care to determine?
No, surely not. This review is making some long term complainants very uncomfortable. The law is our safety net for when medical self-regulation fails us (and it commonly does). Does Hunt even have a transcript of the original trial with which to determine this is necessary?
Are u saying doctors should be criminally prosecuted for making unintended errors of clinical judgement?!
No. On the contrary in fact. But what I am saying is that people Iike you should stop describing gross negligent manslaughter as mere 'unintended errors of clinical judgement' without a trial transcript to hand. That's a clinical negligence case. This criminal bar is far higher.
My only reference is to the Bawa-Garba case and from all available evidence it appears she made unintended errors of judgment

All the available evidence is NOT all the evidence. There is still a large hole in the information available. And yet here you are calling it 'unintended errors of judgement' - again.https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/957833534407892992 …
John Clarke added,
not sure what is 'large hole' is?! Looks like u're fixated on ur conviction, no use arguing with you, good luck in ur endeavours

If my point is not clear to you from what I've already shared, then I can't help you. The only thing I'm fixated with is the facts. And unlike you, I'm reserving judgement.https://twitter.com/c7rky/status/957005084990345217 …
John Clarke added,
What problem do u have with Jeremy Hunt’s review trying to prevent doctors from facing manslaughter charges for unintended clinical errors? I guess this should be my original question to u because u seem aggrieved by his announcement of d review
You have sent me 5 tweets. 4 of them refer to 'unintended error'. It seems to me you have a message which you're intent to get across, regardless of what facts are available or otherwise. I'm done with this conversation, but thanks. Bye now.
