Yesterday, at 11.11pm, Dr Phil Hammond sent out this tweet in all good faith. He had *accurately* quoted from a misworded GMC release.

Just 5 minutes later, at 11:11pm, Ben Pennington, a Media Relations Manager with GMC promptly replies to Dr Hammond, pointing out that there was a critical wording error in the release and steering him to an updated version.https://twitter.com/westcliffben/status/959565005929709568 …

Well, now go and look at how many clinicians chose to RT Dr Hammond's original tweet in the 24hrs since, but NOT RT either of the subsequent clarifications. I stopped looking once I hit double figures...
