Hopefully not, but this case has resonated amongst the profession, particularly the junior staff. There’s lot of talk about changes in attitude to written reflective learning. Sets Drs up early in their careers with defensive practice mindset - makes for bad medicine.

Completely agree. But I think some perspective around what kind of doctors they want to ultimately be is necessary. In relation to patients and families it's the cover up that kills you.

Any doctor who makes the conscious decision to be less open and transparent will be putting themselves more at risk of serious consequences for their career I believe. Medical leaders should be making this point.
