Of course views all mine. All without prejudice. Just a regular chap after all. Oh...and RT's may equally imply ridicule as endorsement.

Myself and @ClinicalHF colleagues have been working behind the scenes over the past few days on the implications of the #BawaGarba ruling. This has included meetings with significant organisations and individuals, and will continue.

Have you met the family Martin to see how all this innacurate Twitter reporting may be affecting them.

Well first off her reflective practice was not used against her at any stage and my understanding is that it was not her first day back at work. These are two of the areas that medics appear to be ramming down people’s throats. Not quite sure why. #nottrue

Does it matter? Neither Court or GMC were really interested in detail. http://thehealthcareblog.com/blog/2018/01/30/to-err-is-homicide-in-britain-the-case-of-dr-hadiza-bawa-garba/ …

I think it does matter if 1000s of Doctors are using it to fabricate an unnecessary situation that is disrespectful to Jacks family. Yes I do think it matters. It mattered when Doctors thought it was true so yes it matters now it’s not.

I don't think 1000s of doctors are fabricating anything. Neither do I think they are being disrespectful to a bereaved family. Access to portfolios isn't the point. It's that individual error in a unsafe system can be so readily attributed solely to an individual.

Yes, it's an unsafe system that needs fixing Rod and the police investigation may take that point further now. But this isn't mere individual error - that would just be a clin neg case - this is gross negligence to such a degree, that it was individually criminal. V different.

Respect your opinion but don’t agree. No reckless or wilful violation of policy or procedure. I can’t see a criminal act. IMHO.

With respect Rod, you're elevating your own opinion of events above that of the high court there, without even the benefit of an original transcript to know the facts. What makes you feel able to do that?

Right now, this debate has become polarised and as much about pushing a preferred message as the facts. I would advise caution - yesterday proved the medical side of this divide can get very fundamental facts wrong. We don't know what we don't know.

Portfolio issue is a distraction IMHO. I’m not pushing a message. Just expressing a view and raising awareness of the underpinning issues raised by this sad case. The level of risk we are expected to manage is very high.pic.twitter.com/4g9nv2hbcm

Managing high levels of risk does rather come with the white coat, but we all accept #safestaffing levels got ducked & it's now unreasonable. No argument. But even in that environment, there are behaviours which can be deemed grossly negligent. Who knows?https://twitter.com/C7RKY/status/957005084990345217 …

I have. I've been heavily exposed to the clinician narrative on this case & from that it could be easy to feel sympathy for her. I'll reserve judgement until I've seen a transcript, but her treatment on arrest is utterly outrageous. The confidence you mention is not one I share.
