"..this combination of drugs would only be appropriate for a patient 'in the terminal phase of a malignant disease'. But Ms Milazzo insisted last night that her father had not received a terminal diagnosis." > Well if this isn't just the perfect addition to this thread. Hmmm..

It's a name that's etched into my mind now - I have Wayne to thank for that. It's the first drug I think to ask about now, next to morphone for eolc. I just don't understand this side of it well enough. Haven't had to study drugs outside of MMR jabs in my journey. So not my forte

I had a happy, walking, talking little boy. We took him for his MMR jab. Fever & crying started that night. He didn't stop screaming again for 3 months, whilst banging his head on walls/floor, arching his back in agony while he screamed & going through 20+ toxic nappies per day.

the head banging etc was corrected by tickling believe it or not. fortunately my boy decided he'd rather attack me and get tickled than bash his head on the floor or attack his sister

Aah... good old sensory input via tickling? Brilliant! Can work miracles to offset the proprioception, eh? It's still a huge thing for us. I'm still used as a climbing frame / slide / trampoline / chair most days. :)

you need to "become autistic" to help too. Unlikely to be accepted by him if you don't sir

I believe I understand what you mean - and I believe I do, when required. We're a long way from those dark days, thankfully, so it's no longer a constant for us. But still a long way to go too.

Obviously I have no idea age of your lad and what has happened in his life so far, or what strategies you have used either
