My mum is a retired specialist nursing sister but didn’t look at my leg when she visited. Ditto step-family; tho’ retired mental health nurse is an awesome chap. I presume in each case the issue resolved around the family trusting the professionals implicitly, without question?

Why didn’t the family notice the eating habits had changed, or the distended abdomen when they visited though? Genuine question, because my family failed to help (aside my husband who travelled back from W coast USA business trip to try to help me after my leg became useless).

I'm not the best person to ask, but as I recall, they weren't the ones feeding him while he was in care. And I'd have to go searching for the relevant
